When I walked into the control room the two of them stopped bickering and turned to me, “Do you really have to come in here right after you have just fucked your mate?” Lyosha asked and Lavi hit him on the arm.
I smirked but didn’t say anything on the subject, “What were you two fighting about before I came in?”
Lavi waved her hand, “It was nothing,” I raised an eyebrow but didn’t push the issue, “This is what we’ve found on what they know about Fox’s family. We haven’t figured out much more, unfortunately.”
I read over the file Lavi handed me, “So there’s not been anything on their websites or usual networks that points to Fox’s family being in danger?”
“Nothing so far,” Lyosha answered.
I nodded and turned to leave, “Thanks you guys. Link me if you find something else.”
As I walked past the room Phil was in, I could just barely hear him screaming despite the soundproofing. I stepped inside the room, “Get me out of here you bitch!”
“Come on, Phil. That’s no way to ask for something you want,” I said, leaning against the door jam. “Are you ready to answer questions?”
“Fuck you, filth,” he spit, trying to lunge at me.
I sighed loudly, “Have it your way.”
“Get me out of here!” He shouted as I turned my back to him.
“Have a nice night, Phil,” I said, walking out of the room. “Ian, Jace, Josie, Alanza, meet me in the conference room as soon as you can,” I linked them before heading there myself.
When I got there Josie, Alanza, and Ian were already there, and before I could link Jace, he and Finley walked through the door. “I hope it’s okay I brought Finley.”
“Of course. I just wanted to work out who’s going tomorrow and who’s staying here to handle interrogations.” I turned to Jace and Finley, “I think at least one of you should come considering we’re dealing with our northern neighbors and you two will take over one day.”
“I would like to go with you tomorrow,” Finley mind linked all of us.
“I think I should go too, plus Cearul is still insanely protective of Fin,” Jace said, reaching out to rub her back.
A small smile came across my lips. I turned to Josie, Alanza, and Ian, “Are you three okay with staying here and doing interrogations together?”
They all nodded, “What do you want us to find out?” Josie asked.
“Find out if the rest of the group knows about Fox’s family and where to find them. Also find out if they know about Fox and his sister, and if Phil got any other information out to them before I took him and the rest of them out. Let him stew for the rest of the night though. Don’t go to him until around eight tomorrow. Check in with Lavi and Lyosha first thing, before you go in, and follow up with them if you get anything.”
“Got it, boss. Now go get some sleep,” Josie said all but pushing me out the door.
I chuckled, “Okay, okay. Call me if you need anything, or if you get anything that I need to know right away.”
“We know the drill boss. Go to bed,” Ian said, actually pushing me out the door causing us all to laugh.
“All right, all right. I’m going, I’m going,” I turned to Jace and Finley before leaving, “Wheels up at five.”
They nodded and I left, heading back to mine and Fox’s bedroom. I changed quickly and crawled into bed next to Fox. He wrapped his arms around me, “You came to bed,” he said into my ear in a groggy voice.
I smiled, “I did.”
“Did you get what you were looking for?”
“No, but tomorrow is a new day. I’ve got Ian, Alanza, and Josie on it while we’re upstate.”
“That’s good,” he said in a sleepy voice, “They can crack him.”
“They can,” I turned so I was facing him, kissing his nose causing him to smile, “I love you.”
“Mmm, I love you too,” I settled into his embrace and we fell asleep.

Niamh woke me up around four, just a couple hours after I climbed in bed. I was still curled up facing Fox, I kissed his lips causing him to wake up with a groan. “Just a few more minutes.”
I chuckled, but left him alone to start packing and getting ready to go. I walked back into the bedroom and found Fox sitting up watching me. “Decide to finally wake up?”
He smiled at me and rubbed his eyes, “Good morning to you too, gorgeous.”
I walked over and gave him a slow kiss. I tried to break the kiss, but he grabbed my ass, giving it a squeeze before pulling me to him. He deepened the kiss causing me to moan. I finally managed to break away from him, “You’re going to make us late.”
“You mean we’re going to make us late,” he said with a smile, pulling me back in for a kiss.
I smiled against his lips, pulling back just enough, “Babe, we can’t be late.”
He chuckled quietly, “We can be a little late,” he pulled me back in, but I broke the kiss to check the time.
“Fine but you have ten minutes to get your shit together,” he laughed, kissing me roughly and pulling me down on top of him. He was already hard so I ground myself on him.
He pulled off my shirt, “Thank the goddess you haven’t put on pants yet.” I laughed, lifting up to pull the blanket down, exposing him. He reached into the bedside table drawer for a condom, handing it to me once he came up with one. I stroked him before rolling it down his length. He pushed my underwear out of the way and entered me in one thrust. Holding onto my hips, he set a punishing pace, thrusting into me hard and fast. He kissed me hard before kissing down my jaw and neck to the spot he would mark and suckled before biting down hard.
I moaned as I came hard, my orgasm prolonged by his hard thrusts. He was quick to follow, coming with a shout. I checked the time after giving him a quick kiss, “Not bad. You stayed within the time constraint.” He slapped my ass causing me to laugh, “I love you.”
“I love you too babe,” he responded, lifting me off of him. I laid back in bed as he went to our bathroom to clean up and grab a rag for me. He sat on the edge of the bed, kissing my knee as he spread my legs and cleaned me. “My love,” he said with a tender smile on his face.
I caressed his cheek, running my fingers over his morning stubble. I leaned forward and gave him a soft kiss. I got up from the bed, he grabbed my hand and kissed the tips of my fingers. I smiled tenderly at him, and he let me go. I pulled my shirt back on and went to the closet to pick out some pants. Fox walked in behind me and pulled me to him, already semi-hard again. “We will be way too late if we try to take care of that.”
He laughed, kissing my shoulder, “Just want you to know what you do to me. I’m in a constant state of semi-hardness any time I’m around you.”
“Glad to know I affect you the same way you affect me.” I turned to give him a kiss, “Let’s get ready, or Daniel will send Jace in after us.”
“He wouldn’t-”
“Oh he would. Hop to it Seal,” I said with a cheeky smile on my face. I turned back around, grabbed a pair of pants, and walked out of the closet. He slapped my ass as I brushed past him. We finished getting ready, thankfully he had packed the night before, and we made it to the plane with minutes to spare.
Jace walked up to me, messing up my hair, “Seriously, you guys couldn’t wait?”
I shoved him playfully, “You’ll understand once you and Finley finally mate. Besides, we’re walking into another clan’s territory and I’m unmarked. I wanted to make it clear I was mated; just in case.”
“You don’t think anyone would actually try that, do you?”
I shrugged, “I’m powerful enough, someone might.”
We reached the rest of the group and fell silent. “Someone might, what?” Daniel asked, hearing the last part of our conversation.
I sighed, “Nothing.”
“Mm hmm,” is all he said in response and I was glad he didn’t press the issue. “You know what to do if something happens. Don’t let him fight. It’s your right to fight for your own hand, and if you have to, finish as quickly as I taught you to,” he mind linked me.
I looked at him as I boarded the plane and nodded. Daniel and I took the pilot seats, firing up the plane, “If you guys are dragons, then why are we taking a plane to the Eastern Dragon Clan, or whatever?” Sutton shouted from the belly of the plane.
“Have you ever heard of someone spotting a dragon in today’s skies?” I asked.
“Well. No, but still if you guys turn into dragons, then you must fly right?” He persisted.
“Of course they do, you dumbass, but they can’t fly all of us, safely, to upstate New York. It would be faster, but this is safer,” Fox answered for me, and it seemed to satisfy his brother for the time being.
The flight went smoothly and we landed easily on the small airstrip owned by the clan, just outside of Naples, NY. There were several cars waiting for us, but Mathias and his mate Rosalie weren’t among those waiting. We exited the plane and one of them walked up to us, he looked a little like Fox and Viola, so he must have been Mathias and Rosalie’s son. “Welcome. My name is Nils, Prince of the Eastern Water Dragon Clan. I’m to be your escort.”
“Daniel Wardwell. King of the Storm Dragons. My daughter Amaya and her mate Nicholas, your cousin. My nephew Jace and his mate Finley. And the rest of Nicholas’s family, Audrina, Fletcher, Viola, Jack, and Sutton.” Nils shook mine, Daniel’s, and Jace’s hands but passed on everyone else. When he shook my hand he inhaled and smirked just slightly when he discovered I was unmarked. A low growl escaped as Niamh and I could both see what he was planning. “Easy. If he does it, you can take him,” Daniel linked me.
“That’s not why we’re here though,” I linked back.
“You don’t think he’ll go for Fin when his plan with you doesn’t work out, do you?” Jace linked me.
“If he knows what’s good for him, he won’t,” I linked.
“Shall we?” Nils asked, ignoring the mind linking the three of us have been doing.
We nodded and got into the vehicles. “I don’t like him. He’s a snob and I think he’s up to something,” Fox linked me once we were in the car.
“Yeah. There’s a concern he could challenge you for my hand. In which case I will step in and fight him myself.”
“What? But we’ve already mated. What about his mate?”
“You haven’t marked me. That means I could technically be marked by a different male even though I’ve already marked you. It would almost definitely kill you, but the challenger doesn’t care about that. If it gets you out of the way, it doesn’t matter to him. He probably cares more about power than he does his own mate. We could make a case, but this way he doesn’t get a chance to go after Finley.”
“Fuck. What a bastard.”
“There’s a chance his father won’t let him go through with it, but typically they let the challenges happen when they know the challengers are likely to lose to discourage them.”
His voice in my head went silent after that and soon enough we were at the clan house. Mathias and Rosalie were waiting as well as several others. I recognized my great uncle, Riku, and his mate, Elin, among them. When we got out of the cars, I bypassed everyone, walking over to Riku and Elin, I wrapped Elin in a hug before moving onto Riku.
“Been a while, little one,” Riku said.
“Yes it has. Sorry for that, I’ve been busy,” I said into his chest.
He pulled back but kept his hands on my shoulders, “So I’ve heard. Good work on bringing home your clan. Your mother would’ve been so proud.”
I smiled sadly and patted his hand before walking back over to Fox, who was standing in front of Mathias. Mathias and Rosalie bowed slightly to me when I walked up, “My queen.”
I bowed back, “King Mathias, Queen Rosalie. Please, I’ve told you to call me Amaya.”
He smiled, “And I’ve told you to call us Mathias and Rosalie, especially now.”
“Right. Let me introduce you to everyone,” I introduced Fox and his family to Mathias, Rosalie, and the other people standing around us.
We headed inside, coming back together for breakfast after we were shown to our rooms. Sitting around the table, Nils made his move, “I challenge Nicholas to a Maca Ánwíg.”
